Finally got AJ uploaded! She was finished about a week ago, but I wasn't able to take pictures of her because I was so busy with holiday stuff.
But anyway, here she is! I decided to give her saddlebags/apple harvesting bags because I had some brown minky laying around and I thought I should put it to use. The bags are removable, and are secured around her stomach with a hook and eye.
She also comes with 3 magnetic apples, that can attach to her mouth. The apples are small, but man, they took a lot of work! 5 pieces each, just for the apples - not counting the leaves or stems. It took me forever (or that's what it felt like) to make them!
Her forelock also took a couple tries to get right, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Her mane and tail were easy enough.
Oh, and her hat can be secured onto her head using a cord and bead. (*hystree used this trick on her Applejack, and I thought it was a great idea! She also helped me figure out where to buy a hat for AJ )
Overall, I'm very pleased with the outcome! My head pattern is definitely a huge improvement over my last 3 plushies, and so is the body pattern! A couple more tweaks here and there, and I think I'll be content with the pattern (... for a little while )
Well... I can't exactly go through all the steps that I went through to make her, because that would take forever... But basically, I just created a pattern based on the characters on the show, and tried to make it as accurate as possible. Then I sewed it up! But overall,it just takes a lot of practice and trial and error.
Ah, I thought so (I am hand-embroidering a project of my own at this moment, which is why I thought to ask!). Well once again and no matter the case she really did turn out fabulously, and you are very welcome for the comment, my pleasure!
